Hammerlund is committed to managing our natural resources with integrity and reponsibility. Recycling asphalt and concrete is one thing that we strive to do as much as possible. Not only does it serve the environment by reusing what would otherwise be waste products, it also produces a tremendously long lasting and durable product.

Hammerlund Inc. employs mobile crushing plants, and screens to produce aggregate materials. With different configurations we are able to make a wide array of aggregates. When compared to transporting recyclable material to and from a quarry, on-site crushing helps to keep construction costs down and reduces pollution.

Recycling concrete as opposed to dumping it or burying it in a landfill provides many ecological benefits such as saving landfill space and helping to reduce the need for gravel mining. Studies have shown that recycling one ton of cement could save 1,360 gallons water, or 900 kg of co2.
